Scott Thiessen is a design technologist and front-end developer based in Seattle, Washington.

Over the past 19 years, Scott has assembled a diverse portfolio of creative work for cultural institutions and companies large and small—including The Art Institute of Chicago, SFMOMA, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, KEXP, Amazon, MoPOP, Space Needle, Cinerama, MOHAI, University of Washington, Henry Art Gallery, and The Seattle Public Library. His work has been recognized by Communication Arts, SXSW, SEGD, Webby Awards, FWA, Taschen, IDCA, and others.

Currently, he is a Senior Design Technologist at Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab. Previously, he was Senior Developer at Belle & Wissell, Co and Bukwild (now Goodness), a Designer & Developer at If/Then and CrashShop studios, and operated his own web studio, Varyable. He has also taught interactive media courses at the School of Visual Concepts and Seattle Pacific University.

Scott enjoys early morning hikes, late afternoon naps, bike-packing, woodworking, and exploring the patterns/math found in nature.
