RadioEight is a unique audio-visual web experience that documents the dreams of children from around the world. Dream accounts are told by the children themselves through audio recordings generatively paired with original music compositions.
Dreams are presented in 3D as a swirling cloud of nodes that materialize, float along orbit paths, make connections between themselves, and evaporate. I used Three.js to create this surreal, dreamy environment.
The accompanying soundscape—with music compositions by Jesse Solomon Clark—queues, preloads, and crossfades tracks in realtime, creating an audio experience that is continuous, seamless, and ever-changing.
At the time of this writing, RadioEight holds nearly 200 dream recordings and over 60 original pieces of music.
